I got ripped off by a taxi at Singapore

  Now i got the picture , LTA investigated him , he admitted he was working from 4.45am til 5.12am , when he did pick up a customer at that point , and he did collected $25.20 from the said customer , the cabby can denied that he pick up the passenger from hotel to airport , he can always said "i pick up the customer Pasir Ris to Bt Purmei " .... not from hotel to airport .
  
  P/S : Unless the airport authority prove that at 5.12am , this taxi was spotted at the departure lobby .
  
  If this is the answer .. what can LTA do ? Unless the hotel can prove that this taxi was within their hotel boundary within the said timing ( by circuit camera ). Nothing has proven that the taxi was within the hotel boundary to support the case .
  
  Now the scenario is : " The cabby insist the TS has mistaken the taxi number . "
  
  he can insist "co-incidence" and "mistaken-identity" .

  I was staying in the Meritus Mandrin hotel and I checked out around 4.40AM. Taxi picked me up from the hote.l He cannot deny that! I also have the picture of the Cab (Leaving the airport) in my cell phone! What else they want?
  
  I have a feeling that some folks at LTA are corrupt and hence the way they have responded.
  
  It is obvious that the cabbie cheated. I have provided the proof.
  As I said money is no big deal. It is the matter of principle.
  
  In the interest of better public relations, Taxi companyhave stepped up the plate and refunded the money. They now know they have crook driver in their pay roll.

  Btw has any officers of the hotel seen it? does the picture of that taxi in ur cellphone has its license number? If yes you may try writing to PTC. Suggest that next time when you visit Singapore , take Comfort (Blue) , Citycab (Yellow) or the white one. Some taxi drivers are smart & they know wat to do to cheat ppl despite those cab companies mention above are quite perfect.
