y cab drivers dun like to accept CC?

any reason behind tis? the cab driver rather give me 80 cents discount den let me pay by CC.. *scratch head*

I for one , never dislike credit card payment , good to have less cash inside our pocket , better security .
Main reason it's the waiting time to get the bank to approve the transaction , if network busy , it might just take a bit of time .... time for cabby is money .
Second reason , for me , it's the trouble to go to our Diesel Kiosk to up-load our Smart card .... must up-load to receive payment within the next owrking day .
Third could be this particular driver might not have a ATM to withdraw cash after the company credit into his account .
Many reason if i can think of .... for most , cash is king . -
Very troublesome if use CC , use cash better and easier.

I always thought cab drivers dont like to receive CC payment as well and always pays cash. However, there was once when I really forgot that I had no $$ on me and had to pay by CC. I was quite paiseh as I thought it meant a lot of trouble for cab drivers and they always prefer cash payment so I told the cab driver that I had to use CC and if its convenient, ready to go to the nearest ATM to draw cash.
To my surprise, this is what he said
=Of coz I welcome CC payment and it is no hassle at all.
=In fact I rather not have so much cash on me.
=What is the CC system on the cab for if you dont use it?
=Usually cab drivers who refuse to accept CC or pretend that their CC machine is spoilt are habitual gamblers who prefers to hold cash or need cash on hand.
By the way, payment by CC charges 10% more. -

they dunnoe how to use the device, den fumble over it..
but basically, they don't have a choice unless their machine is broken or they don't have it in the first place. -
use CC still muz pay the coy money, and muz wait to get the sum back... waste time and effort. They still muz keep track hw much they muz take back... tink they so free ah?!
