SMRT taxi drivers get bonus in firm's 20th anniversary celebration
As part of SMRT's 20th anniversary celebrations, SMRT taxi drivers will be given S$2,800 cash payouts over a period of 18 months.
This is to reward existing drivers for their loyalty and support.
In addition, the company will be offering a cash bonus of S$20 every week for a total of 20 weeks.
For active relief drivers, they will also each receive a one-time S$30 cash bonus.
Lo Chee Wen, Vice-President of SMRT Taxis, said: "SMRT Taxis is, today, one of the key taxi operators in Singapore and this has come about through the strong support of our hirers for the past 20 years.
"The cash bonus is our way of thanking them for placing their trust and loyalty in us, and to spread the joy of our 20th anniversary as a company." -

They just have to do it ..... cos many SMRT drivers has jump to a greener pasture .

And tied the cabby for another 18 months ?
$155 per month ie ..... $155 for Comfort drivers is about .... just 46pcs of $4.00 booking .
Any Comfort drivers can achieve more than 150 bookings every month , so this incentives just not good enough from a Comfort cabby's perspective .
They have to act cos recently ComfortDelgro gave away as much as $1300 for new cabbies .
