  They are probably Euro III if they are registered in late 2004 and early 2005..after that it's all Euro IV..lol..the horsepower for the recently facelifted E220 CDi is 167bhp..the pre-facelift E220 CDi (that's out limo cab) is 150bhp..so the limo E220 CDi we have here is 150bhp..

  But ceecookie, are you sure the E220 CDi is also a 6-cylinder engine? I thought it's a 4-cylinder in-line while the Skoda Superb 2.5-litre is a V6? I think only from the E270 CDi onwards then it's a V6. The E220 is still a 4-cylinder in-line..did you look for the wrong E-class model? Haha..u might have saw the spec for the E270 CDi, cuz the E270 CDi and the Skoda Superb 2.5-litre V6 are very close in terms of power output..I would still prefer my Superb though..haha..just like what Scania N113CRB luver said, more spacious than the Merc..engine and ride refinement is just a whisker behind the Merc, so i think that's okay..for normal people, they usually can't feel the difference..only a car nuts like me will think that the engine in the Skoda is slightly rougher than the Merc's diesel engine and the Merc's damper more sophisticated..lol..

  Opps.my bad,yes its a 130hp I4.I was thinking about the E320 CDi and made the mistake(the 6 pot is the latter's)
  
  So that would means that yes,the Skoda is more powerful.Im not sure about top speed cruising though.

  Haha..there is a E270 CDi..the E280 is a 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine..haha..i think the top speed of both cars should be quite similar..the mercedes has a weaker engine, but it is slightly lighter than the Skoda Superb..haha..so at the end of the day, it's about the same..

  nope,unless u talking about region restricted Mercedes model(in this case,Asia.Same case as in the S300L).
  There is no 270.Here's the list of the merc diesels from wiki.
  There is E280 Petrol and E280 CDi

  BTW the Merc diesel should be I6,not in V config.some wiki page say I,some V.

  The older Merc diesel engines have a straight-6 layout..but the newer ones have a V6 layout..haha..before the facelift it's a E270CDi, after the facelift, probably they changed the engine..so now is E280CDi..haha..
