TDI - Turbo Direct Injection. Mechanical pump per cylinder.
CDI/CRDi - Common Rail Direct Injection. Meant to combine the performance and handling of a petrol engine with the fuel efficiency of a diesel with electronic injectors. Electronic injectors can, and usually do, deliver fuel in multiple squirts per cylinder cycle - which results in a softer initial burn (less "rattle"), and fuel is added as required - so these are usually both more quiet, efficient, and powerful.
HDI/HPDI - High-pressure Direct Injection.
