GL taxi drivers.

This is wad happen to my friend few days ago when she took the cab.
Quote from her in exact wordsI was rushing to job place.
My point is this.
so i board on this particular cab and tell the uncle the place i want to go- raffles place .
then i say politely to him that i will be checking the exact add in my phone message.
meanwhile the event co. called me. so i picked up the call.
after which i told the uncle the exact add of that place.
then i add on,
" sorry uncle, if you don't mind .can drive a bit faster cause I'm rushing "
"how to drive fast?cannot la " he replied
My friend called me and ask me to go pick them up at Bendemeer rd.
( the place where i will sure pass by to get to raffles place)
so i told the uncle to go and pick my friend up.
" WA Lao , you want to be fast then still want to pick people up?" (roll eyes) uncle replied.
She called and say that the boss say its alright if i dun pick them up.
so i just tell the uncle what they have told me ,
immediately her friend called again and say sorry & ask me go pick them up.
so i tell the uncle stop at the taxi stand which is less than 500m and pick my friend up.
" eh sorry hor, get down the car la, i dun want to drive you le, " he shouted at me and pull down his cab at the side of the road.
obviously i was shocked la. i stared hard at him
what really pissed the hell out of me is that he point at me and say ," go compliant la my car plate no. .......... get down la"
My friends was still on the line. so she heard the whole conversation.
Zzz i was like less than 500 m from them only .
Is it wrong to ask the taxi driver change here and there but it's still on the way down. Its not like we dun pay them or wad. -
Nope u and ur friend are not in e wrong. maybe the taxi driver was having a bad day or bad mood.

Next time if your friend wants you to pick him / her up by taxi on her location , confirm with him/her first , don't say what he/she say to the driver , what if she suddenly change her mind? Taxis drivers won't like it , so next time if your friend says the he / she wants you to pick him/her up , tell him/her: "you confirm arr , don't later change your mind , you wait for my cab." If he / she say ok , then you tell the driver.

i think its your friend fault. a while want to pick up, then say dont want, then say want again.
this kind of situations is best if you are your own driver right? taxi drivers are also humans after all. -
at one point, the taxi driver gets paid and is his job to drive passengers around..so its not your fault...
but at another point, what you did pretty much did gave the taxi driver a reason to be angry with you. He might be thinking that you're playing him or something, also he might be in a bad mood on that day.
Try standing in his shoes..if you're driving and your passenger goes '' UNCLE HERE !! EH WAIT, NO THERE!!! OH SORRY,I WANT GO HERE !! " Though he would not lose out at all from the earnings, it definately irritated him mentally..so...yeah. -

Thats why i say next time confirm with your friend the meeting point & confirm if your friend wants you to pick up or not & ask your friend to wait at the pick up point he / she says & not to change his /her mind , so that the taxi driver will just pick him / her up from there & thats it , rather than a while say want to pick up , a while don't want , then a while say point A a while say point B & so on , any taxi driver will feel frustrated mah , as for your post , before you confirm the case whether the taxi driver is guai lan or not , never put "GL taxi drivers" in this case its your friend who is making the taxi driver guai lan , if i'm a taxi driver , i'll also get very angry , think about it , what if now you're a taxi driver & you came across a passenger like this , how will you feel? -

the moment you board and ask to be delivered to a destination, and the taxi driver acknowledges, a contract has been made. If you did not mention about picking up anyone prior to him driving off, he dun have to pick anyone up.
You have breeched the contract.
