Taxi Shift Change

Anyone knows what time in each day do taxi drivers change shift?
Is it the same for all taxi companies? -
Taxi drivers can change shift at any time of the day, it is the arrangement between the hirer and relief driver not taxi company.

there are some drivers only drive between 7am and 8pm.

i think what the TS is asking , what is the general time of changing shift .
From 4pm to 5pm , not many .
From 5pm to 6pm , the most .
From 6 onwards , the least . -
If what the TS is indirectly asking , why he/she saw taxi drivers changing shift at 10pm ? Or 11 pm ? or other timing ?
Fluke la ....
If 8pm .... after peak hour , yes possible .
If 10.30pm , not sure if it's real ?
As a cabby , i know ...... it's not for real .
Reason ?
I would prefer to go to places which i can connect another business , not vacant for the next 1 hour .
Singapore has got many "black spot" where once u kana , most likely u ended vacant down to town again .
Especially now the diesel cost shoot up rocket high , any chances we can chose , we do it . -

I guess the most number of drivers changing shift are around
(6am) and (5pm to 6pm)
That's very easy to remember.... about 12hrs apart.
Only minority numbers change shift at other times... (from what I gather in this thread) Am I right? -

most of these changing shift places are nearby to their taxi companies' budget petrol kiosk.
West side happens to have most of them if i am not wrong.
The gas in Jurong Island for the ozone friendly merc cab
the kiosks in bukit batok. -

and the kiosk only can pump oil, nothing to sell one.
Near queenway at the NEA also got one kiosk. -

So most of these Budget Diesel Kiosks are in Jurong, one in queensway...
That's why most shift change are in Jurong.
(I'm sure got some in the East... but maybe fewer...)
So it'll be easier for those staying in the West to get taxis during 5pm to 6pm.

i stay in jurong
but very very very seldom see change shift to jurong leh
sianz....
somehow i got a feeling, drivers don't like to send to Jurong
especially at night coz after that is empty cab liao...
but after midnight, they prefer to send to jurong -

Ok let me explain .
First , this only happens in the evening .... from 5pm to 11pm the most will happen , "Change Shift to Jurong " the most .
Second , cos it's LED display , so it's usually it's Comfort who usually go Jurong .
Why Jurong ?
Why fluke ?
Answers :
1.Because most access ways ( by holland road , or AYE )to Jurong , no traffic jams like the ECP and CTE during rush hours .
2 . Because in Jurong industrial area , like Tuas , Tuas South , Pioneer Road , Shipyard Road , it's a pot of gold for us , many bookings available .
3. Because International Business Park at Jurong East many ang mo go down town .
4.Jurong area can consist of Clementi , Bt Pj , CCK or Bt Batok .
5.In short , Jurong provided more potential , compare to areas like Bishan , AMK , Yishun , Wlands , Sengkang , Punggol or Sembawang .
That's in a opinion of a Comfort or CityCab driver , no applicable to SilverCab , TransCab or SMRT , unless they really stay at Jurong . -
but .... also got changing shift "Chinatown" , "Redhill" , "Bt Merah" , cos this changing fellas dun wan to go out of town , they prefers to stick in town .
Once cabbies put changing shift , real or fluke , then they can "ask" , without displaying "changing shift" signs , cannot ask . -
