  I totally agree with your suggestion. Actually I was equally surprised to learn that Premier Taxis do not have nets, visa or mastercard payment in their cabs. I could have easily made the payment should one of these mode of payment are made available.

  Well if that happen just tell the taxi driver, he can copy down my name & ic number & mobile number - so if i run you have the information to police . He cannot hold on to your IC or other procession , which is again the law.
  
  There is no need to give them anything to hold on to..... for if the taxi driver run off with it ..... you can do nothing. You think got taxi number - also no use. why the taxi driver say he never drive that road that day - taxi company also say most proably you copy down the wrong number.
