There seem to be no post on the comparison of different taxis company's benefits, costs, booking system, etc. Does anyone experienced care to contribute? I believe this will be beneficial to those who wanted to take up taxis driving as a career.
Maybe I can kickstart this topics. I have recently switch from comfort to SMRT and found that actually the benefits and incentives from SMRT are much better than comfort.
By the way before I continue, anyone can advise if we are allowed to discuss this on the forum. I don't want to run into the law. -

well ..... for those who want to know more , actually ask better than we throw all the answers out , they may get confused , most will get confused .
Even a cabby like me , also abit confused at times over the difference of benefits . -
SMRT on paper ... yes , better benefits ... obviously u are not "booking players" ...
Comfort "booking" is the most powerful in the industry .
I closed 2 eyes can get averagely 8 bookings an evening .
See ..... my revenue per booking is nett $3.30 , multiply by 8 bookings , = $26.40
My rental is actually $20 per night . ( $46-$26.40)
SMRT is about say cheap cheap $39 .( no booking )
See the diff ?
How many bookings SMRT u got each day ? 2 ? 3 ? Maximum 4 la .... -
Of course in terms of Yearly benefits , SMRT gave the best in town ... but , if u count in " bookings" ....
Let me do a simpe count ...
Comfort gave me 5 bookings a day ..... just 5 . Sometime 13 on a good day , we just do 5 as a minimum !
I am taking in as prime period booking $4 .
Nett profit per piece : $3.30
Daily my profit is $16.50 , x 365 days = $6022.50 extra profits .
Does any other taxi company offer $6000 extra money ?

The problems with SMRT for offering the best money , cos no drivers prefered them , due to lacking in "booking" support .

Not too certain if you're driving a SMRT , TRansCab , SilverCab or Smart cab .... -

in terms of monetary benefits , only Premier's Silver Fleet can rival Comfort ....
TransCab so so only ....
Smart got no benefit at all , but they got the market's lowest daily taxi rental of $69 .
SMRT they can afford to rival everything others offers ... only problem , when you resign , they'll squeeze ur like a vampire , your blood upon the slightest dent of ur vehicle . -

I am taking average of just 5 .... cos for me , 8 of $4 bookings is my minimum . Com'on .... not only in town i can got bookings .... Heard of Changi South ? Cargo Complex ? Loyang Industrial ? Tuas ? Pioneer ? Jurong ? Senoko ?
Of course , in times to come , around 9pm , Shenton Way / Robinson Rd / Ceceil Street , Suntec , Raffles Link , Esplanande , Raffles City , Bugis etc ..... i can get bombard by call .
Drive Comfort never take bookings ? Drive Comfort for what ?

oic. thanks for your tips poolman. i got take call lah but usually only in town. i dare not risk going to industrial areas after 8pm unless i am near there.
ask u har... if you are in woods, cck, or jur west after 11pm, do you try to get pax around there or you go straight to town? after 11pm, these places are ghost towns. even if you get pax, they only go within same estates leh... -

SMRT Website lists down the benefits. Wonder whether anyone sign up for the salaried taxi driver scheme (called Revenue Sharing Scheme).
Actually me signed up with Comfort because I prefer driving auto for long hours and sonata looks nice. Drive also shiok mah... Ever got at least 3 customers jumped queue to take my sonata. Jurong ? I go straight to West Coast area.... heading Vivo City chase bookings !!! Along the way , by pass Science Park , NUS , NUH , Pasir Panjang , Alexnadra , Telok Blangah .... 20 minutes Harbourfront guarantee have .
CCK ? Head to Bt Batok , Jurong East .... West Coast .... 30 minutes hit Vivo .
See .... once 11pm , give urself 30 minutes to hit town , where there will be midnight little bit surcharge , but along the way , hope lucky enough to bring someone down .

Me part time driving sat nite and sometimes Thu/Fri/Sun. Fri and Sat business good. Thu is bad. Sun is average.
