Honestly , minimum la $2000 .
My relief driver , he worked 6 days a week . He averagely earn about $120 a day from 5.15am to 4pm .
So about average $2880 .
I earned more than him .

Don't believe those lies saying cabbies can fetch $6000 each month .... i tried everything , simply impossible to achieve .
I broke down into like 31 days ... as in this guy must achieve $200 salary a day .... rental $92 , diesel cost $45 = $330
We cabbies b4 the fare hike , average earnings is $20/hr .
So this chap must drive about 16 hours .....
8 hours of sleep nia .
That's why we say : " very fast will return the money to NUH " .
Can't believe one body can tahan 16 hours a day on the road , 365days non-stop .
This chap is like working from 6am to 10pm daily ..... sleep at 11pm , wake up 5am ......
where got lifestyle ?
No need see children ? No need see wife ?

last time average is $70 per day b4 the fare hike income now lower due to fare hike thanks to smart as s hole , 30* $70 $2100 per month possible , but you need to drive sold 10 hours a day to acheive this , worth it ? $7 an hour you go figure out

However you calculate taxi income, you are counting only the maximum. There are many hidden liabilities...
Tangible liabilities are accident excess, lost revenue when sick (still must pay rental), no CPF, no bonus, and of course no annual increment....
Intangible ones are long hours, no social live and friends. Only family and rest and work... -

To earn $2500-$3200 , we must apply a certain effort and hardwork , not sit there , the $$$ come .
In fact , not must apply , it's compulsory to do so .
Also , not only those effort and hardwork , must also use "brain" to drive & earn the $$$ .

was at marina yesterday saw long queue of taxi everywhere and blocking the traffic, saw one sonata waiting at a queue outside swensen about half an hour waiting for a fare . was told cabby income dropped by 30% after the hike -

Cos i got sick of working for people ... low pay . All below $2000 , and long hours .
And cos i fully paid my flat , along with my wife's CPF , i really don't need CPF , mt wife's CPF is sufficient .
Cash is king that time , now still is !
Also i can have my own transport .... do my own things without much worries about taking buses , taxis or MRT .
My transport runs by diesel , if i buy my own car , i need to pay insurance , road taxes , petrol , and maintenance .
Taxi , for $46 , i don't care about everything , from repair , tyres , batteries , aircon problems . Company take care of it .
It's individual , if u rely alot on CPF , don't be a cabby .
If u have no commitment with your flat , cabby's life is not bad .
Providing u're a healthy fella , if u're some kind of sick note , better not , we cannot afford regular MCs . -

Maximum 5 minutes nia .... very fast one .
No 30% so much la ..... i dunno maybe day-shift , night shift not much affected ... X'mas season , town everywhere people .
I admit Housing estate a bit quiet , buses and MRT all pack , still i rely in town and business commercial area , industrial area ..... for me housing estate have or dun have , used to it .
Overall i pick less customers , more fares .
So overall i save my $$$ on diesel , same salary .
Friday ok .... Saturday ok la , just that i came back see Liverpool vs Portsmouth , midnight i dunno liao .
Hari Raya Eve my salary : $269 nett . Before nett profit $350 , my buddy did $379 before nett profit . He drove a Sonata .

i heard some taxi drivers rather forgo the fare to pick up other passengers when customers run away instead of wasting time at the police stn.
