what crap is this ? so next week they will say due to their brillant idea cabby income has increase so they can increase the rental due to inflation...

praying hard that the short memory people will forget about the increase in fares and take cab again meanwhile appease the taxi driver by "telling" them to believe that their collection had increased

every cabby i know say their income drop about $30 a day ... I really dunno how comfort arrived , maybe they took in the 8 days income for christmas eve and new year eve as the sample period.

No la , they counted the diesel consumed during this period enuf liao , it's true they match it on the festive income .
From our daily diesel used , they can also estimate our income .
Technology also can help .... their MDT system can collected daily datas .
In fact , my relief drivers for day shift really not affected ... same wages , only me !!
They can also match those income of a single vehicle !! As in Solo driver , one salary .
Now their $53 million IT stuff can do alot of things , what cannot be done with IT ???
And we are saying trying to get one cabby income from the system ? Very easy one .
Still they are covering up most things . -
During the last $0.10 increase fare hike .... well Sporeans also say alot things about not taking a taxi , take bus la , take MRT la , buy car la ....
Then what ?
Then Takashimaya needs to wait 60 minutes to get a cab , Bugis Junction needs another hour to get a cab .... unless u call one .
Why ?
I also need some answers . -
I am sacking Comfort not because of my lost of salary .
I joined Comfort because of their booking system , now with the booking less , why should i stick with them when SilverCab is offering me up to 27 days of free rental ?
That differences could amount to $2754 , which Comfort can never match that !
In fact , Comfort only pay me half of what SilverCab is going to pay me .
It doesn't make any more sense to stay with Comfort . -
I can speculate , after 18th January 2008 , many cabbies , like me , will sack Comfort !!
Why 18th ?
Cos 18th is the day when we collected our quarterly benefits . Of $300 .
If we sack them now , no $300 ! Don't make them richer by sacking them now . Later , take $$$ then sack them .
So many is just playing with time .... once the $$$ is in the bank , here we go , sack all of them !!!

I already email my Exective , i warned her better no raise any diesel price , they have to go on subsidising the diesel to keep drivers , if not .... hahaha , many would tender their resignations . -
They dun really care about the welfare of the drivers.
As long as they can eventually HIKE the rental price, they will recover their cost and profit.
What is lost on the existing batch of drivers, they can recruit another batch of new drivers who dunno the rental scheme.
It is true that the people went back to taking taxi after the previous hike.
But, the present situation is of a different scenerio as the mass businessman are having a field day of increasing the cost of every thing under the sun.
So, there is a HUGE inflation for every thing that we need daily.
Therefore, the sg crowd is really fed up with the needless hike of the taxi fare and will not be the easy victim of the profit greedy company again. -
The media can publish all the false hopes and news but at the end of the day, driver leaves and their earning drop.
This is a very real facts that they cannot deny!

The media is still blindly using the compare-other-that-is-lower policy to illustrate the "low" fare price.
I guess the people have been "educated" enough about this kind of bs.
As long as your increase is not reasonable, so what if it is less compared to selective countries with high fares.
If your pay cannot afford the increase, no one will take the cab. -

Merc Cabs touting at Clarke Quay has been going for years ...
1.A month before fare hike , the media has been blowing it out of proportion , like it's a big issue , but it has been there for the last 3 years or so already , why now then they published it ?
2.Do u think the " over-haul " fare structure takes 3 days to finalise ? The preparations has been long before Clarke Quay i think . Long before , that time when it takes 1 hour to get a taxi at Takashimaya .
Conspiracy , they created a picture , tat Clarke Quay issue is the main cause for the raise . Which is not .
Alot to debate la ...anyway , non of my problem now .... Uncle me mood liao , holiday mood .
