I need to transport a piece of gym equipment which is around 1.8m and 50kg.
It can't fit inside your regular taxi. I have seen a few upsized taxis around,any idea how to book them? And the charges?

Why not rent a van instead? 1.8m 50 kg sounds pretty big
I have seen those big upsized taxis before.It looks spacious enough to transport my stuff.
Just checked out van rental-easily >$40 per trip.
Won't the equipment damage the taxi cushioning etc.. assuming your putting it in the backseat?

can your gym equipment be folded to be compact? If yes then its better otherwise I would strongly recommend to ask around especially your friends who're driving vans
