2 more weeks to adjust before LTA will start to fine liao... up to now, I still pick up and drop off main road in CBD... 2 weeks later cannot play play liao...$100 bo wah...
there will surely be a lot of blur tourists asking questions wan
it also means i can stop at main road to rest, just that i cannot pick and drop pax only.... so funny
This ruling will affect morning shift drivers more than evening drivers.
Fine ki lan .....
Me bo chap siow one la .....
No business time u see road side got pax see u wanna to take or not .... if every taxi stand taxi Q like fuck .
Just beware sensitive areas like Suntec , Orchard Road ( Plaza Singapura , outside Istana ) , Shenton way areas .
KNN Tanjong Pagar , Cross St , Chinatown hon kan la , mai hill lan la .... mai kan LTA la .
When LTA said fine this fine that .... they also will listen to ur reasons , they not really unreasonable .
Like raining , customer carry loads of documents , how ?
Case to case explanations .
Like Subordinate Court @ Havelock Rd , taxi stand at People's Park centre , that lawyer carry loads of evidence , must pull trolley , raining ..... what u do ?
Initiative la ....
Anyway .... LTA say this to please Singaporeans that they got chor kan la .... actual fact , they mana wo cho kan ???? Talk alot nia nia ....
Again , like i say , no business time , we can do la .
But when business la la kio , many call , it gave us another reason not to pick at road side .
For Shenton Way, my favourite taxi stops are DBS Building (6 Shenton Way) and SGX Centre (4 Shenton Way).
my favourite taxi stands are in suntec... spacious, near expressway, less jam, easy to find pick up spot if got call...
wow lan... another forum with only 3 of us talking

hmm... moderator also join in... ask you har, what do you do for living? just curious... or are you paid as a moderator?
those shopping centres (without office building type) i will avoid... reason is obvious... how often do you shop on weekdays?
even on weekends, high chance of jam e.g. tamp malls, parkway, taka, paragon, bugis... wow lan eh... suntec is still ok cos well planned road network
har they going to fine cabbies who pick up passengers in CBD?

nope, i'm not paid being a moderator & i'm doing it during my free time to keep this forum in check..anyway, i'm still currently serving my ns with scdf as an ambulance medic..
usually, from what I see there will surely be poeple buying stuffs (e.g groceries) after they knock off from work then after buying they will definately take a taxi at the taxi stands at shopping centres..

yes & it applies to cabbies who alights their passengers too..
they die-die must pick up or alight them at the various taxi stands only in the CDB area..

haha.. true true.. if we say summore this thread wil lgo over to speakers corner liao ![]()
According to LTA, this ruling is for the safety of commuters!
i feel its not v fair..
cos taxis are not e only ones which are stopping to pick up and alight passengers..
if there is a ruling it shld b all vehicles to stop at appropriate places mahz..
taxi drivers are already havin a hard time making ends meet..now even have to bear w this ruling..making biz even harder...

aiya... the talented LTA thinking very simple one... they see a problem, they just want to solve it the easiest way, even when the solution is not ready.... just like ERP and the conjestion...
but ii can accept some hiccups in policy making lah... everyone makes mistake mah... but that this CBD ruling is way too ridiculously senseless... even man in the street knows it is not workable.... at least now they relax to allow pick up along smaller roads....
as for private cars, i think cannot restrict them cos otherwise they also want to stop at taxi stands liao...
3 more days to go..
2 more days to go..
last day today..
