Tot of changing to CNG . With Premier now..(Kia).Wats is d current price for CNG gas now??The last info i got was $1.5 kg. Btw per kg of CNG can travel how many km???And which model of CNG taxi is e best? Any advice. TKS
Smart Energy i heard , they raised their CNG price to $1.74 per kg now ... from $1.49 ?
Think so ...
KNN Smart energy see the business up liao , take advantage and raised .
Smart got a Toyota Camry , class act this model .
Yeah , i heard many complaints about high diesel overheads from my Premier and some TransCab counterpart .
Yen , can consider TransCab Red Wish .
1 yr contract .... ok not bad benefits ....
To get a CNG , u must seriously consider filling location , u stay where ?
Yen , alot of my counterparts , more experience drivers , felt tat CNG infrastucture not yet into 100% , they advised me to stick with diesel , and with diesel surcharges , they cover a bit , only thing they advised me , cut down vacant trips .
Change tactics ie ....
Are you having 2nd thought of driving the red hot fire engine ?
i went to check at Mandai CNG kisok ,went to see look see look ....
The topping up is in the engine compartment , each car needs to rest their engines a while b4 they can top-up .
And seriously , topping of gas take quite long , considering most only needs to top up for 200km , i saw ... 10 minutes each vehicle took .
The price is $1.74 per kg .
From tat time i saw @ $1.40 .
Must wait for next parliament sitting see what the garmen want to do with the New Green Spore stuff .....
What about the fuel consumption of the various diesels? Some models have better fuel consumption than the rest which can squeeze out a few more kilometer per litre and hence some savings?

i think diesel only one grade
for vehicle, definitely the manual ones and smaller ones will burn more fuel… MPV should be the biggest drinker… sonata about 1 litre = 9.2km… crown is 1 litre = 10.2km
cookie, u a cabby? merc?
Im talking about fuel consumption here.Nope im not a driver ![]()
This discussion is also raging over at Cars forums, where we face the same issues too but in petrol instead ![]()
What im trying to say here is - try to get the fuel consumption data for all the taxi models, and take the one with the best/most efficient FC if you dont mind other aspects. Can get significant savings over a period of time.

Merc Cab has the lowest fuel consumption ma , cos 2000cc only .
Crown , 3000cc , if the engine is new , the consumption alright one , lower than Sonata .
Cedric comsume the most engne oil and diesel . Nissan vehicle always got the same eat engone oil problems .
Drive a 4-yr-old Comfort Crown , which the engine has been overhaul , this is the best .
Overhaul engines usually consumption super low .
But for a short time only .
4 years old crown ( 5th yr scrap ) , rental cheap $80+ , fabulous benefits and NCB ($1400+ a year ), fuel consumption low , count as in 365 days , big big diff compare to others .... in terms of your $aving$ .

so roughly must q how long to top up and pay and leave? i think CDG pump is usually 15 to 25min total
I saw a Prime one , took about averagely 10 minutes , less than 15 . Meaning the motion starts when filling full . 15 minutes .
Excluding Q if required , like day time the reported long q .
Raining days , thunder storm , refilling centre shut down .
Long Q and weather effects , hmm ..... must re-consider .
Worth it to change to save on fuel expenses ?
