wonder any cabby got any experience to share so far with 'summon' or 'warning' for picking/dropping along main road? so far i havent heard of any summon being issued to anyone leh. but i heard white mice recently start to 'take pictures' of taxis who q more than the permissible number of taxi at Taxi stands... e.g. sim lim bastards...

practically every morning, bayshore taxi stand sure got 1 white mouse there. if i see empty taxis coming out, i won't go then, just continue to bedok south. mornings if in east side almost everybody goes to bayshore. cos too many taxis in the east esp. from airport. if cannot wait at bayshore, siao liao, cos before 830am 10 cabs to 1 pax. must cruise & hope to be lucky. unless brave the traffic and goto bedok reservoir.
ALN, i don't think they take pictures, just record the taxi number. btw, what's the penalty?

Penalty ? i know it's $200 , 2nd time $300 like that .
day shift more jiak lat , very easy kena , 2nd shift we bo chap siow one la .. knn .
I bo chap one la , got people come out their hand , i sure take first , everything later than say .
I also 100% never take outside CBD business after 8pm , all basically inside CBD .
So i bo chap siow " TAXI " , also slowly cruise past Little Inidan , treat them transparent one .
Complaint me ? Come , i wait for them to come at me .
Why scared ? Dun scare la , san san .

Yo KCTK, i didn't know bayshore is a hot favourite for cabby in the day and that east hard to get pax in the day... for night shift, other than town, i find east is best. West is also good if b4 10pm...North (Woods/Yishun) is worst... sure empty back...

side road? would you flag a taxi along a side road? boat quay type of side road got chance... imagine you wait at some ulu side road...

i saw during day time pax flag taxi at beach road opposite shaw... taxi will turn a bit into the side road and honk at pax to board cab... ...as a pax, if me going out of city, i will not want to board the cab cos i need to waste time to make one big round again to get out of city... damn solid planning from LTA...

yo ALN,
bayshore hot only around 8-9am. after that no more pax going to work. i think the situation is entirely reversed between day & nite shifts. (at least for me)
east - morning no good
west - mornings good
north - good after morning peak hours (few pax, fewer cabs, more likely to be $15-$20 trips). late afternoon onwards..never go in, evenings not much better
but these areas don't have to worry about CBD rule or any other rule if your eyes are wide open. (seeing, not looking only). for day shift, china embassy damn bad esp. this month with the visa requirement if you want to visit china. so many pax hailing at all times along those double yellow zig zag lines out the china embassy. suprisingly haven't seen any white mice whenever i dirve past. hmmmz.

once i drove a night shift all the way till dawn 730am... at houg 6am got a call to bt timah... then another call from timah to alexandra... i was a bit surprised cos i expected most to go to CBD... after that i need to reject pick up and rush back to return cab liao... so no chance to continue my adventure... i guessed my two trips was considered a good connection liao since no CBD...

Sometime this kind of rules and regulation really make us puzzle. Just like yesterday along Eu Tong Sen in front the former Police HQ. One young lady flipping her hand for me to come by to pick her up. Within second i decided not to go, cause bus lane that was around 11.00am. So behind another Trancab just zoom in and there you are got the catch and here it go( but nothing happen no ones watching he may win win like those buy quarantee durian sure ripe like those durian stall alway say). So this kind of senerio who is stupid, for me i think it is safe, never ask for trouble why? need to part my other count count more than 10 pieces of ten red dollar notes contribute to the government revenue, safe there are plenty after this road. why need to be Kamikazi Taxi.

ya kin i heard day time more eyes watching... bus lane me confirm won't risk... but CBD street pick up me bo chap... i think that one got less eyes watching another thing i wont risk is speed exceed by more than 20km/h... $150 and 6 points... if exceed by 20 or less, usually no fine... but if still kena fine, then $130 and 4 points

During day nowaday during day shift you can see many along the road, behind tree, behind pillar where they can cover up. something look like digital camera those white mouses uniform personnels, but not sure about night. Lucky we are alway well informed once it spotted, there you are (drive safely out code word) alway appeared in our MDT.. haha that is good.

in fact ... within the cbd , everywhere is eyes .
Many eyes , commuters see u buay song , also can take photos and shoot you down .
My buddy once got caught smoking inside the cab , got photograph taken by a commuter smoking in a cab , according to NEA , who fined him $300 .
