Hi all, I am a new relief, driving comfort cab on day shift. Just to ask guru here about Sentosa. Must we pay admission charge to our taxi and driver? Can we pick up any pessengers along side of road in Sentosa? Please enlighten me, thanks.
I am driving a sonata with comfort, working on weekdays 5am to 4pm as a relief. Juz started only 3 days ago. Still a newbie. Kept asking pessenger to guide the way. Its fun driving a taxi anyway, meet all kind of ppl.
Thinking of driving weekends oso. Any lobang?
If ur cab TAXI .... free ! No need to pay any $$$ .
ON CALL also no need to pay .
If u taking customer in HIRED.... $2 admission charge per head . Customers head , yours dun include .
U can pay first , take from them later , but usually i asked customer pay .
If u taking hotel's customers , they will have a hotel authorised pass .... to show to the entrance staffs . To get in no charge .
Asked if they are tourists visiting sentosa , or hotel's guest .
Once a customers visiting Sentosa Spa , just told the entrance staff : " Spa ."
This caucasian actually got a free entrance .

I leasing out my blue sonata on Saturday 5am to 5pm , or 5pm to 5 am .
Rental $10 cheaper ( $42 per shift ) , normally others paid $52 or $53 per shift .
$20 cheaper for full swing ( $85 ) if u drive 5am to 5am next day . ( normal price $105 )
CCK area .
My relief and me willing to off-set $10 each per shift to get an extra off-day . Both of us off on Sunday , now we want Saturday off .
Both of us now don't feels like driving on Saturday / Sunday .
Thanks Guru for giving information about sentosa. I am willing to drive on sat n sun 5am to 5pm. But I am staying in Sin Ming Ave. CCK too far lor.

Ask if your passenger has Islander card (blue colour plastic one). 1 card = 1 head free.

Poolie me a graveyard shift cabby , if u are into day shift , ask the rest .
As far as my experience concern .... tat time when i am OMO .... sad .
Saturday , 6am to 8am , pace slow , sleepy . But if normal , to get one to Airport , easy .
After 9am , the working crowd will come in ....... pace gets rapid at 10am , many calls , most go Orchard , town area.
It can really go mad up to 12pm , then pace slow down , but quite consistent the taxi-takers . U alight one pax , another 100m , there'll be one new pax . Most short distance , seldom exceeding $12 trip after 12pm .
Saturday beware , after 3pm , except in town , the rest of S'pore basically totally slow down .
Then the whole market can be really dead by 6pm ..... to 8pm . Dinner i think .
Then after 8pm , goes lively again . Cos peak hour over , they came out to catch a cab . All the way it's madness up to 6am . Non -stop .
