This is not a rumour , 7000 Hyundai Sonata quotas , no more indent . Next fleet is Toyota Camry Diesel . More expensive in rental , cost more in diesels ( not much ) , bigger cc .... larger leg space . Imagine a Camry , with a Sonata Blue .... Me ? Me not keen , me so far ok with Sonata . Say no to those blood sucker . Heard rental as much as $105 excluding GST . Those waiting to grap a Camry , wait a while first , let others try first .

Heard as early as November .... maybe a CNG , no indication , i guess it's a non-diesel taxi .

$105 b4 gst... that is $112 nett... still $3 flag down? rental getting siong xia why the taxi companies always think got takers for more ex cab?

So many taxis on the roads now. Every night the queues of taxis seen at the airport and nightspots are horrendous. Reduce the number of taxis and I won't mind paying higher rental. Pay low rent but hunt like f*ck for customers.

taxi fare should get cheaper then...
people only care about the market huh...they will suck dry wot they can for as long as they can

yo lion, u week nite drive 5pm to 3am? thought you should be used to seeing long Q after 12am? I see there are few types of FT nite shift drivers: - 5pm to 12am type (e.g. Pool) - 5pm to 3am type - 5pm to 5am type (e.g. David Chong) 1am to 5am very low demand...but supply also dropped but less than demand drop....half the nite shift cabbies and all the OMO rest liao....I suppose it is a decision of individual cabbies

taxi fare will never get cheaper. u see those driving CNG cab all complain like fug cos everyday drive to mandai. -
My house in hougang got one red wish CNG... wonder how he top up man??? Drive to mandai 2 to 3 times a day???....Reliefs also run away....haha... Next time if i see him, i must ask him...

I have a friend who's Crown going to scrap .... so when scrap date is near , Comfort Operation staff told him to hang one another few months , cos Sonata no more , Camry is their newest fleet replacing the aging Crown .
But base on what we seen on the road , i won't be surprised if it's a CNG .

Wa Crown .... if stuck traffic light , infront got a pax , beside you a Sonata , then prepared to kena jacked . LOL -
hmm... interesting...for me, i only beat the crown on my left for a pax if he is not comfort/city cab... haha... and only crown can, those skoda or kia... better dont try... equally powerful if not better... haha

I feel its ironic to have more passenger cars as Taxis,Defeated the purpose of buying of buying it.Futhermore there will be more Taxi racers on the road due to the model and cc they're driving.Imaging i have to tolerate several cabbies drive above 135 kmh at PIE towards airport whenever i work at 0430hrs futhermore in slippery condition.All they say they got other pick up somewhere else.I'm happy with current Sonatas,Magentis.Also i heard rumours that Smart cab is taking the new Proton MPVs by year end 2009.I dunt surprised if Subaru Legacy Wagon also use for Taxis

Yea..in the past...taxi models are different from passenger cars...
Now they are clogging our roads with so many models here and there...sometimes I really have to look at the taxi display on top to make sure that I am really flagging a taxi...Haha...
