Aiya, brother brother...they not on the road because they pity those yau kwee cdg, TC and smrt drivers mah...if they really put up 300 to 500 km on the road, we all can OBK liao. LTA and their frog minister with a new big ass transport state minister are not doing the right thing in putting mileage as an indicator of measuring taxi productivity. You can drive 250km per day, I can drive 190km per day, but I can earn more than you and took more pax then you. Everyone knows that productivity is output divided by input, if I can take 20 paxs and only need to drive 200km, comparing to another driver driving 250km, with the same nos of paxs. Who gain? And when we calculate physical condition, who more tire?? IMO, LTA have to relook and revamp the whole system, their agenda is to target peak hr taxi availiability, just concentrate on that and not go and demand how driver drives?? If LTA really wants to go down the wire on this issue, off the record, many of those insurance, property, marketing..or smlj personal businessman can stop driving taxis

Cdg can afford to allow 3000 taxi which is 20% not on the road during peak hr,
But prime if more than 100 taxi not otr tio find 75000....

To be frank, prime are just there to make up the nos of taxi companies, like SMART, they were invited in so as to show a open (liberal) taxi market by our govt, therefore inorder to hv a smoothen business in Singapore, they just join in, so when they are given the marching order...actually their bosses are more than happy. The end result is the same as our bus companies, SBS, SMRT...same same but different shit only

Look, most of these taxis companies beside Cdg, smrt and TC are consider SMEs, Small and Medium Enterprise, and they get lots of govt funds if they engage Singaporeans, so what is $750,000 to them, moreover, most are relative link to govt, it is just left pocket in, right pocket out. And finally when LTA boot them out, they might said,...thank you very much
