Pyongyang, July 8 (KCNA) -- Senior cadres of the Party and the state, servicepersons of the Korean People's Army and people from all walks of life Friday visited the Kumsusan Memorial Palace to pay homage to President Kim Il Sung on the occasion of the 11th anniversary of his demise. The palace was visited by senior party and state officials, chairpersons of friendly parties and leading officials of party and power organs, ministries, national institutions and social organizations.
Seen in front of the President's statue was a floral basket in the joint name of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, the Central Military Commission of the WPK, the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK and the Cabinet of the DPRK.
Written on the ribbons of the basket were letters "The great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung is immortal".
Senior party and state officials expressed noble reverence up to the statue of the President.
In the hall where the President lies in state they made deep bows.
Then they looked round the orders, medals and diplomas of honorary titles awarded to the President at home and in foreign countries and his portrait with a sunny smile and carved bronze images in the mourners' hall, the train he used during his on-the-spot guidance and foreign trips and the car he used in the last time of his life.
Anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters, officials of different organs, KPA servicepersons and people of all strata visited the Kumsusan Memorial Palace Friday.
Meanwhile, foreign diplomatic corps, military attaches' corps and economic and commercial councilors' corps here, foreign guests staying here and overseas Koreans on a visit to the socialist homeland visited the palace to pay homage to the President.
