One Night at the Call Centre - Chetan Bhagat
This book is a light, fluffy book where 6 people working at a call centre in India go through a night where everything changes.
It is Thanksgiving in the US and the phone lines are buzzing in the call centre where our 6 principals are assisting to handle disgruntled customers of white goods in a call centre.
Each have their own problems with life and with love, one is working beside a woman who has dumped him and thus he is going out with another woman whom he cannot stand "to get over her".
Others have problems with in-laws, with love in general.
All come to a head when the manager of the call centre, a general lowlife, goes one step too many stealing the credit of their hard work and planning to retrench them. They hatch a plot and with some "divine help", all's well that ends well.
Pretty "Bollywood-ish".
Fluffy but enjoyable. 3 out of 5
