ADSL Modems

Anyone know what brand and model of adsl modem is fast and good? I'm running on singnet 512kbps and my current modem is full of problems. Thinking of buying one but dun know where to start looking.

i have an aztech one for my singnet BB 256
works fine and no probs so far
but now im on starhub maxonline (since 2 days ago) so the modem no use liao

Thanks for the offer, but i wanna get a new one. Anyway lots of my friends say starhub maxonline lags alot, esp during peak hours, the connection slows down to a crawl and around 7pm onwards its really slow, probably due to the fact that most people are watching cable tv during that time. I've heard many terrible stories about starhub internet, actually wanna upgrade to maxonline 3000 but guess i'll stick to singnet for the moment.

I never knew people tuning in to cable tv had such an effect on transfer rates.
I've been using mol 1500 for the past 4 years, and I never experienced problems or lousy transfer rates. Must be my erm neighbourhood. -

I'll go home tonight, turn on all 3 set top boxes on simultaneously to channel 19 AXN, and do a file transfer with and without the set top boxes on. I will keep the results of this test strictly confidential.

I got a new ADSL modem havent used before. Won it during my company D&D lucky draw, now sitting at my house doing nothing cuz I've already got a Alcatel StingRay ADSL modem. I forgot the brand, I need to go home tonight to check it out if you are interested.
Oh btw, I am using singtel unlimited 512K broadband at $35mth, speed is very good even during peak hours. I also heard some feedback from my friends that starhub broadband sucks big time
