Hi JrtCubby,
You are rite that the camera was dropped before, it's not a really big dent though (as can be seen on the auction site). The dent was magnified on macro mode n will not look significant when seen at a overall view. I had presented it clearly on the auction site with the dents as I did not have any intent to mislead bidders and wanted to make it clear in my auction.
The auction at such a low price is also mean for bidders who are willing to overlook this n pay a much lower price for the camera. I do understand that some bidders may be particular about the exterior outlook of the camera and as such, they may have to pay a higher price for a same model that is in perfect condition.
Bidders will never know about other camera auctions whether the cameras there were dropped before either, it is of this reason that cameras offered are at a much lower price to compensate this risk, as a new one will definitely cost much more.
I am sorry that the camera on auction did not fit to your expectations and I hope that you will be able to find one that suits you soon. I can assure you that the camera is still in excellent working condition n the dent was about 6 months ago. It has still been working great since.
Thanks for the feedback.
