As our company had just launched our e-commerce website, we are still undergoing several technical and human factor glitches. We also noted with regret that several of our products have been mistakenly priced.
Customers who have placed sales orders wishing to purchase the products have been notified individually to clarify this matter. We have informed them of the unfortunate human error that took place and that we will be unable to proceed with their orders. We have also attempted to email all affected customers to seek their understanding and also to offer our sincere apologies.
Due to the nature of e-commerce and the IT industry, we foresaw that such incidents of typographical errors, fluctuations in price and stock availability would be possible hiccups. And we have also indicated to our customers that we will need to contact them after we received their confirmation orders, indicating their intention to purchase products from us, to confirm their purchases, subject to stock availability and price accuracy, and to arrange the delivery time and date. At no point of time during the entire process of making an order, was any form of monetary payments in the form of deposits or full payments being made to us either through cash or electronic means, eg. NETS, Credit Card. We have also indicated to our customers that only upon confirmation of the orders and actual deliveries of the products they ordered will any form of payment be expected.
As our retail stores have limited opening hours, we may not be able to react quickly to customers who need information quickly and accurately. Therefore, this e-quotation facility was implemented to offer an alternative and more intimate channel of providing more information such as product details and relevant pricing to our customers at their convenience. This is also a reason why we have not implemented a payment gateway to our website.
At the same time, we would like to seek our customers' understanding in the need to enforce the following TERMS AND CONDITIONS which are reflected on the e-commerce website.

Unless otherwise stated, prices shown are inclusive of GST. All efforts will be made to check for errors in typography and photography; however inadvertent errors may occur for which Skylet may not be responsible. Other trademarks and tradenames used in this document refer to either the entities claiming the marks and names or their products. Skylet disclaims proprietary interest in the marks and names of others.”
We would once again like to say a big sorry for the inconveniences caused.
