  yes..i'm using windows ME...but the requirements stated on the box was windows 2000 or XP..i would keep the set if anyone could teach me how i could use the set with windows ME...thanks

  Yes you can but you gotta format it on a windows xp computer once. i think it support me too, you can try.

  "If your iPod was never used before you can get "Drive not formatted" message. Don't try formatting iPod with Windows tools! To format iPod correctly you have to use Apple iPod Updater software. This software works only under Windows 2000 or Windows XP.
  So you'll have to find some Windows 2000/XP machine, install software from CD you got with your iPod (or download it from here) and Update (or Restore) your iPod.
  After that you can uninstall software and enjoy iPod under Windows 98."

  i never use before so i dunnoe oso. i went google find de.
  
  u juz borrow yr fren's laptop or comp den format it there lor. den u install the usb drivers above, and try. those r for 98, so i oso not sure whether u can use anot.

  hi all, sorry for the late reply...i did not try out what was told on the net...about how to format the ipod shuffle for windows ME....but had the set exchanged for a DV cam instead
