yah...but if u observe those auction sites... u notice that usually items that offer a discount on retail price then people will buy lah....

i would like to remind you that this is an interactive forum whereby the seller is able to reply to any bids. he have to right to say "NO" if the price is not up to his expectations.
in fact, any bids, no matter how low it is, is good for the seller. it bumps up the thread and it shows that there are people interested in his product, higher bids may soon follow. -
im not here to start anything. and i believe there is no such thing as 'right to bargain'. go into a nike shop and ask them to lower their prices of their products. i would like to see them comply once in a while.

Honestly, i think this is a pretty reasonable offer. I've checked out the prices(orchard area) and i was offered $450 for a brand new piece.
You might be one die-hard apple fan who values their stuff highly, that's totally fine with me. However a smart shopper should always shop with their brain and not with their heart.
There are a couple of points you might want to note:
1) Apple is slashing their prices by 20% to clear inventory
2) IPOD 20G color is out to replace the monochrome version, so retailers should be reducing their prices to clear stock.
3) A forumer has the freedom to sell at whatever price he/she deems fit. Dont forget that every week the item is not sold, it affects the warrranty part of the product. You may think that you can fill in the warranty form 6 mths down the road but dont think that manufacturers are dumb. They have a date when the item leaves the retailer and if yours is ridiculously far from theirs, i seriously doubt they will uphold the warranty part of the bargain.
4) If you surf the MAC forum, you will know that the battery is IPOD's weakness. So warranty is a big MUST.
