You will participate in a research study at lily-nus. a pharmacy company located at faculty of medicine, NUS. You are asked to stay two full days and take part in the research by staying in the company and taking a new medicine regularly. Your blood samples will also be taken for further analysis. In total 220ml of blood will be taken from you in two days (The amount of blood taken in a normal blood donation is 450ml).
Possible danger: The medicine is similar to asparin in effect. It will reduce blood clottering so that if you bleed, it will be harder to stop the bleeding. Other possible symptoms include dizziness and bruise. The doctor will explain possible danger to you in detail before taking part in the study and you can make informed decision based on the information. Also you can choose to stop at any time in the process, and in that case you will be paid by the proportion of time you have participated in the study.
