bowling- wtb wrist support

i'm a left hand bowler, am looking for a mechanical wrist support.does anyone think that it will improve my game point because right now my throws are sometime inconsistent.

Wearing a guard can indeed improve your consistency of your release if used correctly. however you will become dependant on it. It all depends on the level which u are playing, if u just for leisure using a handguard would be fine, however if u are moving towards advance bowling, handguard will not be recommended as it restricts certain bowling style. that is why singapore national team bans the use of handguard totally

ya that is true to a certain extent, but more because of his temper when the lane condition does not go his way. What rubbish, the singapore team isnt using handguarda bcoz the are using cranking style, use handguards only if ur balls are drilled for it.
Cranking ur throws makes it powerful on the return but u must have sufficient strength to launch ur throws & pray hard that lane is suffciently oiled to at least 27feet & stripped clean after or GOOD LUCK
u will know why oiling is so important if ur adopting cranks, look at remy ony & team singapore who went to safra mt faber b4 the world cup & they screwed on every shot, but goes on to say, it will be oiled correctly when tournament starts.

you r right to say that oiling pattern is very important, but without sufficient oil does not mean cranker will die. it is just a matter of ball choice and changing of line, thats why usually each national bowler will bring a arsenal of balls to the comp and change according to the lane condition. so when the lane head breaks down, it just meant changing to a pearlised ball to make sure your ball clears the head without reading the lane. -
Yeah have at least 6 balls for different lane conditions.

but i tot the guard would restrict ur release to a certain amount.. causing the release not enuf to produce the large number of revs, which the cranker produces??

any way simce this thread is about bowling, anyone think it would be nice to have a forum just for all bowlers? as in i got notice some private bowling clubs have their own forum, would it be better to have a bowling forum just all everyone? so that there can be discussions of all level and possibly sell and trade of bowling stuff??

you can say so, cos now the trend is favouring power bowling, or wat you would call cranker. The old stroker style is sort of out dated already. But spinners are stil around thou. the reason is simple, power bowling is about areA bowling, which means so long as cranker is able to hit his target area of a few boards, his chances of strike is high, whereas for strokers, they only can the comfort to hit 1 to 2 boards target in oreder to strike.Originally posted by bowler200482:n that's y the national squad do not use guards?? cuz alot of them r crankers not tweeners or strokers.. -
