  hope u realise a cute kitten may not look this way forever.
  it just takes them less than 3 months to grow out of that stage
  and often they go through the 'awkward' stage of lean and lanky
  then end up broody big cats

  as the SPCA ads say, don't give pets as gifts.
  
  if she likes a type of cat, tell her where to get it, choosing a kitten, and paying for it (if you are buying one) is part of a commitment process you need to have when you are investing in a companion for life.
  
  Don't give her a gift she can't reject if she doesn't want it, can't refuse when she realises she can't take care of it, can't give away cos by the time it gets older many people realise they only like kittens (and not cats)
  
  And so it ends up on the streets. A friend of mine have picked up Persian mixes, Russian Blues, Siameses ill treated, abused, abandoned. it is simply ISN'T FAIR.
  
  I'm not saying your friend will do that. And it's sweet of you to want to get her something she likes. But a pet is not something you should use to impress a girl with your sensitivity. Get her something else please.

  Yeah agree with S-the very long name something Cat de post above, please don't get your friend a cat or any animal that she may not be able to take care of.

  hmm ... yea got think of tat .. but i asked her b4 .. she said she could take care of it .. hmm .. oh well .. lol ... i m jus considering my options .. nt really determind to get her tat .. hav to see the factors too ..
