  Is it backward compatible with USB 1.1? I need to switch between USB 2.0 and USB 1.1
  
  One of my computers is old and the other one is new, that's why.

  Don't know leh. One of the thumbdrives gave me BSOD the moment I plug it in.

  The packaging didn't say anything about backwards compatibility. It only says it is certified USB 2.0.

  It'll work fine on 1.1, but don't expect 2.0 capability that's all.

  Too bad , i dont use a 2GB memory gadget , i use storage gadget with at least 40GB (sometime not enough also)

  I solve them by burning all my stuffs to CD. Thumbdrive is my backup. In case something went wrong with the CD.
