  wait wait wait...tell me wad psp can play pirated games...wad cant? i saw some original games sold at comics connection mentioned dat they need firmwarre 2.0 and above

  For now, most people r using version 1.5 to play non-original games.
  However, from http://pspcave.com/pspnews/latestnews/psp_modchip_is_for_real_-_more_details_20060528784/, it claims that e later versions of PSP could also b done. How true it is, I'm still not sure. I just wanna sell off this set of mine ASAP. It's lying in my cabinet & it's a white elephant to me..lol

  all new game need 2.0 and above to play..those initial D stage ar and GTA liberity all need 2.0 to play..becuz of the farking farking farking sony....

  only fw 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0(downgradeable to 1.5) can run unsigned codes or hmebrew/custom applications, e.g. self-made games, applications and utilities.
  
  And.. sigh.. It is not exactly very healthy thinking about and openly endorsing the idea that it is every consumer's god damn right to support piracy, simply because some evil businessmen ($ony & Micro$oft..!!) get away with ripping customers with overpriced games consoles (PS3 & XBOX 360) and crappy games ($60++ for a UMD game!!). If it is expensive, don't buy it.. Go original, if you enjoy a well-made game, please..
  
  So far, I legally own GTA: LCS, Burnout Legends and Untold Legends on UMD. And played alot of SNES & NGCD on PSP.

  just want to ask if the psp i bought is 2.6 but i downgrade it to 1.5 can i stil play new games?
  
  and what if i want to re 'upgrade' back to 2.6, am i able to do that?
