WTB LAPTOP

  Hi guys, looking for a very low end laptop with CD rom, battery and charger support
  
  I only using it to watch VCDs, and also read text documents PDF files
  
  so a small pentium 2 or pentium 3 will do just fine..

  I'm afraid you cant watch vcds or dvds with that kind of laptops.

  but even a 1.1ghz 128 ram celeron with 10 gb hdd is going for 450..
  
  but my budget is still 200 - 300.. need just a simple laptop to watch VCDs and read my PDF documents... i can wait until 30 mins for a 10 mb PDF to load.. issit ok?

  There's quite a few auctions at Yahoo selling these PII laptops at S$200-300. They have the basic functions of watching VCDs (not DVDs) and Office application. You may want to try yr luck there.

  I just got a deal at yahoo for 200 bucks, a normal pentium 400 with CD rom support..

  Great!!! Now you're just left to ponder if you can even load pdfs with the given specs.

  PDF application should be ok for her as long as there's 256MB of memory in her laptop.
