ok,.....tried styling my hair this morning trying to achieve a "tamer" version of what's in the photo....however, the experiment went haywired and now i end up with a hairstyle and accompanying effects which is more insane and much-better looking than the photo or my original goals.
the effect also seems to be way better than hairdryer's and u can see each individual strand have their own motion and volume.
what i did was to:
1) apply moving rubber (the pink one) onto my hair and make it evenly everywhere
2) use my hands to brush my hair from front to back, bottom to top, with the sides also brush back
3) apparently, at this stage, the hairstyle looked fugly, so i gave up and went to bathroom to wash my hair with water and didn't use shampoo as there wasn't enough time and i was late for work
4) use the towel to dry my hair
5) look into the mirror and got shocked by the effect, which is something like water's motion combined with the power of the remaining wax
6) simply press the sides a bit neater and the top a bit down
7) spray a lot of super-hard hair-spray to lock-on the little amount of wax

for the bottom part of my back's hair, i follow the style of the photo, together with sideburns.
finished. u guys should try this too.
i think it's harnessing the power of water to really define the very natural waves and now my hair looks like a neater version of Cloud's hairstyle in the Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children movie.
