  The Quality is WAY better than AKIRA.
  
  It was about two weekends ago, it was on Straits time when I saw the Samsung LCD TV at 1099 at NTUC.

  accccckkkkkkkk... we just got an LCD TV for around $1100 (last Saturday delivered)... with installation, (wall mounting)

  Toshiba Regza... looks big, don't know how many inches... bought from Gain City... (hahaha, I don't know because I not interested one... so not I choose)
  
  funny thing is, they never collected the money and we went personally to pay them on Sunday morning, they were closed.... then we decided to send them the cheque...

  If you compare the specs of this Samsung 26'' and the Akira 32'' ($799)
  
  The specs for the samsung are better. 3000: 1 ratio.
  
  The Akira one is only 1200 : 1 ratio right?
  
  Its size Vs quality of your image.
  
  And Samsung is known for their LCD TV.

  Yup, anyway I need to sell it cause I need to fund for a laptop.
  
  So if you have any friends who are interested in it. Do let them know! Thanks! =)
  
  $1100 for lcd tv is quite a normal price...if you get a good brand.
  
  Samsung is considered good.
  
  I mean it depends on what you are investing in.
  
  Akira is much cheaper...but in the long run, I think quality beats price hands down.
  
  Plus I am really letting it go at such a cheap price...its a really good deal.

  i just find it amazing that
  1) ntuc sell so ex (can get for $999/-)
  2) ntuc advertised in ST
