SNBB.. can use without home line?

  i still wondering this leh cos no one use the phone at home i want to cancel it. total waste of money paying the subscription fees.
  
  otherwise switch to starhub easier is it? 
  
  edit : think i found out liao.. snbb uses existing phone line to transmit data so i think impossible to use without it
