recently i planning to sell some gold, the price is $54 per gram. then neckless is 7.9, so from wat i know its should worth around $426..... but the jewellery shop qoute me $325, thats about 25 percent less....... i wanna know is there other places that we can sell gold to ? i dun expect to sell it at $426, i know they will need to earn a living too, 5 to 10 percent is my acceptable range......25 percent is like day light robbery......

23% deduction is considered low. Trust me, I've bought & sold many times, this is really one of the lowest rates.
some jewellery shops deducts 35%.

a 7 grams necklace is very small amount of gold.... probably a very thin & plain chain-loop necklace with no designs.
have you tried any pawn shop ?
You can try always to push for better pricing after they quote you
any gold smith shop will also take in...just ask whenever you pass by

pawnshop the same as goldsmith, around the range of 20-25% reduction.
i sold mine at $39 about 1, 2 mths ago
