Oh yah. Just remembered one thing about canon digital cameras. Some of the cost goes to the design.
Comparing to Nikon's camera with similar specs, the prices are relatively the same. But I don't know about the things and accessories that comes with it.
But yesh. I must agree. The g3 and s30 are cheap in canon standards. -

both the cams are good, but obviously the g3 is better, not only becos of the bigger zoom an bigger mp, but also the g3 has filters that can be attached to it and has a hot shoe. but if these features are not needed then the s30 will suit many users just fine.
i've used an s30.. (my brother's).. it's good~~!!!
