*If you are willing to take all the 18 sets of SS and 19 sets of History Elective papers, there is a special price going at $60
I am also selling Biology notes that could use in O level exam 5094 (Pure Biology) and 5117/5118 (Combined Sci (Bio)) in the year 2012 and 2013 (no change in syllabus)
The bio is compiled by a group of students and is vetted by a teacher in the school.
The notes are arranged in this order:
a) learning objective for the chapter (taken from the syllabus outline on SEAB website)
b) sumarised answer to that learning objective
For example, in Chapter 10: Homeostasis
b) Explain the basic principles of homeostasis in terms of stimulus resulting from a change in the internal environment, a corrective mechanism and a negative feedback.
A stimulus is a change from the normal condition of the internal environment. Receptors detectthese changes in the internal environment. Impulses from the receptors are sent to the control centre or regulator, triggering an appropriate response to restore internal environment to the norm. A response counteracts the changes and returns the internal environment to the norm. This may be behavioural, such as moving into the shade avoiding the heat of the Sun, or physiological, such as an increase in the blood glucose levels. This response to return the internal environment to its normal levels is known as negative feedback.
In addition, the key words are being underline and new terms are being bold.
This will ensure you are on track on revision for biology and know what Cambridge exactly wants from you.
These notes are extremely useful as you do not have to read your textbook for information again.
I am selling the notes for Pure biology at $10 and combined Sci (Bio) at $8
For all of the items listed, if you are willing to send through mail, postage fee will be free but you have to do fund transfer.
Meet-up for collection are fine also well.
