Distinctive “Akazonae” red captures the essence of strength and power.
GPS Hybrid Radio-controlled Solar-powered*.
From the G-SHOCK MR-G flagship lineup, comes a new Akazonae theme model.
Akazonae was a special military unit during Japan's Warring States
Period (Sengoku Jidai), whose armor and weapons were a distinctively
uniform red color, which is said to have allowed commanders of elite
troops to flaunt the valor of their soldiers.
The MRG-G1000B-1A4 features all of the toughness that has long been
associated with the MR-G name, decorated with distinctive red coloring
for the engraved lettering of the bezel, for city codes, and for various
different components of the face.
Combining Akazonae red with G-SHOCK black creates a look of strength and power that spans the ages.
*GPS hybrid radio-controlled solar combines CASIO's
own solar power charging system, positioning using the Global
Positioning System (GPS), and reception of time calibration signals
around the world.
The symbol of toughness and traditional Japanese beauty
Akazonae -Deep crimison color-
Akazonae was a military unit whose armor and weapons were a uniform red
color. Its name has lived on through the ages because it was often used
to allow elite troops known for their valor under exceptional commanders
to stand out on the battlefield.
The strength and toughness represented by the Akazonae image for
centuries has been incorporated into this model by using traditional
Japanese crimson for the watch face, MR-G logo, second hand, dials, city
codes, and other elements. This deep red evokes the aesthetic sense of
Japan and expresses the intrepid toughness embodied in the color.
