Ask your friend to give up the tickets if they can't can't make it. It is very disgusting of them to sell the tickets that are given free by the Singapore Gov to celebrate the independence of Singapore.
I look down on this type of lowly-degraded Singaporean.

what's wrong in selling the NDP tickets. It's not by force, the buyer is a willing party. If you wanna talk about patriotism, screw it la....patriotism is not determined by if u sell something ur govt gives to u. It's very much business sense to me if it can bring in money if i sacrifice and watch on the tele. didn't our govt tell us times has changed? we should lower expectations and accept jobs that we dun prefer. Same to them, time changed, we need money, no more holding on to tickets because of respecting the country. It's business. NDP tickets is not and can't be labeled as national treasure anyways....furthermore there is live telecast!
In the past, we could not sell because some assholes will queue up just to get and sell. But this year it's different, we are given and selected at random....it's luck. why is riding on one's luck consider unlawful? -

It may be right that it is not patriotism to sell ticket.
