hi all,
i jus went to this website that does book rentals (
http://www.apogeez.com/ ) and i thought of recommending it.
they offer chinese and english selection of books and in my opinion, the books you can see there are alittle different from the rest of those you see out there. books from this site are not all the feel good cuddly kind, but they still offer a very good read. best part is, they offer FREE delivery!!

this site is a local site, and they only do local sales and delivery so far, so sorry to the overseas counterparts.

some books i would recommend are...
Skin GameAuthor: Caroline Kettlewell

She began cutting her arms and legs in fifth grade, and continued into her twenties. Why would an intelligent young woman resort to such extreme measures? The first former cutter to tell her own story about living with an overcoming the disorder, Caroline Kettlewell has written an unforgettably poignant and shocking memoir of affliction and survival.

“All endings are also beginnings. We just don’t know it at the time…”
From the author of the phenomenal number one bestseller Tuesdays with Morrie, comes this enchanting, beautifully written novel that explores a mystery only heaven can unfold.
Eddie is a grizzled war veteran who feels trapped in the toil of his father before him, fixing rides at a seaside amusement park. As the park has changed over the years – from the Loop-the-Loop to the Pipeline Plunge – so, too, has Eddie changed, from optimistic youth to embittered old age. The war left him wounded. His days tumbled into one another, a mix of loneliness, regret and sad dreams of what could have been.
Then, on his eighty-third birthday, Eddie dies in a tragic accident, trying to save a little girl from a falling cart. With his final breath, he feels two small hands in his – and then nothing. He awakes in the afterlife, where he learns that heaven is not a lush Garden of Eden, but a place where your earthly life is explained to you by five people who were in it. These people may have been loved ones or distant strangers. Yet each of them changed your path for ever.
As the story builds to its stunning conclusion, Eddie desperately seeks redemption in the still-unknown last act of his life: was it a heroic success or a devastating failure? The answer, which comes from the most unlikely of sources, is a magical and inspirational as a glimpse of heaven itself.
In The Five People You Meet in Heaven, Mitch Albom gives us an astoundingly original story that will change everything you’ve ever thought about the afterlife – and the meaning of our lives here on earth. With a timeless tale, appealing to all, this is a book that readers of fine fiction, and those who loved Tuesdays with Morrie, will treasure.
