Bangladesh bombs
Suspected Islamist militants bombed two court compounds in Bangladesh. At least five died in Gazipur, near Dhaka. -
Some were critically injured. Among the wounded in Gazipur was lawyer Anwar Fakir, who received severe burns. -
In an explosion in Chittagong at least two policemen died. The force of the blast left shoes and other belongings scattered. -
Relatives of those caught up in the Gazipur blast raced to Dhaka where the injured were being treated. -
Bangladeshi security forces say they are almost certain the Gazipur blast was a suicide bomb. Initial investigations suggest explosives were strapped to the bomber's body. -
