  Last time, the 800g pack of instant oates used to be sold for btn $3.10 to $3.50, now the same pack is sold at btn $3.75 to $4.25. I know coz my hubby always eat it.

  Prices of basic food materials like wheat etc have risen. The mee sellers said they have yet to raise their noodle price...just wait and see.

  It's not easy for them...coz rental have gone up this year by a big margin...and then there's the gst...so it's all eating into their profit margin.

  Ultimately, it is still the consumers who take the extra damage. Imo the gst offset package don't help much at all.
  
  Now some hawker stalls also cost alot, add a small bowl of rice also need 40 cents. And even for homecook meals, the ingredients can cost alot as well.
  
  Everything also up, only salary nv up.
