thanks for your warm welcomed... sadly, my school do not have bowling offered as an CCA... I'm still thinking should I invest so much on equipments yet as I'm paying all myself... probably meanwhile I will use the house ball and rented shoes... cos still not enuff money lahs...Originally posted by darylquek:Firstly.....a rather late welcome into the sport and our BIG family!!!well it seems tt u got quite a few tips from my mates here.True enuff wad u wld need are proper equipment. Since u r in sec sch i think bowling mite be ofered as a cca? u can pick up relevant techniques from there too. Like kevin i m coaching too but onli doin it freelance. As for my own game, erm....still in the midst of evolution ")
Super HOugang and TGC....we got a team running in SUper Hougang, as for TGC, its my homegrd and i helpout in the proshop there.
Enuff abt me, abt ur equipment, it depends on wad style u wana learn.but. nevertheless, for a starter's equipting, u will need abt $170-$250 depending on the grade of ball u r goin for.Together with the ball in the kit will come with a single carry bag and a pair of shoes. After that, u r ready to fly ")
Hahaha... Prataman is very humorous..Originally posted by prataman:If you've bowled before, and feel that you like the game and would like to do better, than investing in better equipment is ESSENTIAL. If you only like it in a very casual way, then it's not really worth it. Teri-Yaki is right in that regard.
Bowling is an extremely expensive sport compared to your usual basketballs and soccers. Just lace up your sneakers/boots, get a $20 ball and go!
TEAM FOS will be arranging weekend bowling sessions again soon, and do join us if you're free. Sometimes it's the company you bowl with that would fire up your interest and enthusiasm in the game, and makes you want to do even better. Also, we usually have equipment that we wish to let go, and you can get it at a greatly reduced price, rather than getting ur own.
Inspiration can is a wonderful thing. Like in soccer, you see Zidane and you wanna dribble like him. You see Jordan in bball and you wanna do all his moves too. If you bowl with us, you see Daryl's revs and maybe you want to tune it up like him. You see Jae's simple yet effective style and maybe you want to emulate his consistency. You see Hanz's funky flamboyance and maybe.... err no, I don't think you want anything to do with that
