it's very slim, and 2.2 kg, i dunno abt power consumption. the battery can last a few hours but i seldom use the battery.Originally posted by deathscythe99:Oh yea. A T-series. Supposedly heavier than its X-series companion?
How's the weight and power consumption like?
no, why do you need that?Originally posted by rainee:T41...got that fingerprint protection thing or not?![]()
My friend told me yesterday, 15" PBook with 1Gb(1 pc 1028 RAM) for $3,888.Originally posted by deathscythe99:I'm thinking of that. What's the student rate like for the 12" Powerbook w/ Superdrive?
I was contemplating either the 12" model or the 15" model, 'cos of the weight.
Dun wanna end up lugging a huge lappy to school u know, beats the reason outta getting a laptop.
And for software, u got?
We all say its slim and light in weight, but face it, slinging it on your shoulders for 2 hours straight, its going to feel heavy anyway.Originally posted by TehJarVu:it's very slim, and 2.2 kg, i dunno abt power consumption. the battery can last a few hours but i seldom use the battery.
so that if someone steal my laptop, he won't be able to get access to all my data insideOriginally posted by TehJarVu:no, why do you need that?

I'm looking for one which is either less than 2kg or somewhat hovering around the 2kg range...too bad, not many laptops fit the bill.Originally posted by TehJarVu:it's very slim, and 2.2 kg, i dunno abt power consumption. the battery can last a few hours but i seldom use the battery.
Not really gonna stay long with it.Originally posted by M©+square:My friend told me yesterday, 15" PBook with 1Gb(1 pc 1028 RAM) for $3,888.
He didn't check for 12", but my advise is don't go for 12", bad for your eyes if you're going to stay long with it.
I'm starting to squint my eyes doing graphics for straight 12hrs even with my 14" laptop.
To compare weight and comfortablity to eyes, i think i'll choose the latter.
But if it's me and the 15" Pbook with the gorgeous 1Gb RAM(You can check original price in apple.com.sg) I'll whack!

Tell me, what software is Apple gonna provide? Less the word software by MS?
12" seems pretty okay for generating lab reports in school...
There's no need to lug a lappie around when you don't need to right? High 5.Originally posted by TehJarVu:actually the only times i sling it on my shoulder are whenever i board the plane with it. i do my work fr home mainly.![]()
