I just came back from watching..
Some questions..
WOW.. but i missed that part on how kenobi chopped off the legs and hands of Skywalker when the latter jumped onto the land? -
i watched it already too.. seems like some scenes are not there.. the story and comic version seems to have included a scene of Yoda and a conversation with Qui Gon which Yoda briefly mentioned to obi wan at the end.. somehow there is a missing link there..
i think there are a lot of thinking to be done after the show..
like.. the jedi preaches one to let go..according to yoda
the fear of loss .. leads to the dark side
train yourself to let go of the things you fear to lose..
its like something that can be done after attaining some form of enlightenment.. almost like treading on the lines of buddhist teachings..
and if you have passion for the things u fear to lose.. u go deep into the dark side...
ambition it seems is also a forbidden trait.. those to have power.. fear to lose it...
hmm.. how true.. (esp in Singapore's context) -
just feel that this show quite deep.. sets people thinking.. most philosophical of the whole series i would say..
the seduction of the dark side.. brings me to think of the govt's approval to allow gambling.. very easy.. very seductive... something to think about..

i agree its quite a philosophical episode.. the decision.. the confusion.. i believe given the scenario that anakin had to face.. anyone who have someone to love will have stepped to the dark side to get the chance and have the knowledge and power to save him/ her from dying.. perhaps only those who have severed all ties with the mundane world will be able to reach the level of letting go..
so those who love.. all fall prey to passion.. just as the sith code says.. its all about passion.. and having passion leads you to the dark side? and that's evil?
but deeper thinking.. padme did say there is still good in him.. hence the dark side embraced by Anakin stems from passion? and that from sidious comes from lust for power and ambition? -
just remembered.. Mon Mothma also didnt see.. hmm..

Any cut n censor part? hw long is e show? -

dun think it was cut.. as in the gruesome scenes of vader being burnt.. rather graphic...
i think a lot of conversation scenes in the middle got chopped.. but dats ok for me..

i am still trying to decide if yoda really lose the fight.. go see and tell me.. -

thinking back.. i do recall in return of the jedi that leia did say she had a memory of her mother that she was always sad.. and then luke said he had no memory of his mother..
question:
who was leia talking about? padme? she dies after childbirth right? so how can leia have memory of her mother when she was only a baby..
or unless she was talking about her adopted mom on alderrann.. Mrs Bail Organa? -
Certainly the best in the latest of 3 episopes! Any idea where to get the comics? Do you get to know the missing scenes from there?

does leia or luke even know who their real mom was.. cos in ep 4,5,6 obi wan nv say.. and no scene to show that bail organa told leia.. yoda also din say anything.. will luke go away thinking that Mrs Organa was his mom too?
then its ultimate tragedy for padme.. her children dunno her nor acknwledge her existence.. -

another impt one that was missed was the meeting btw Bail Organa, Mon Mothma and Padme.. this meeting actually started the Rebellion. and a declaration of rebellion shortly after the Empire came to being... it would provide the background political storyline linkage for this prequel to ep4.. -
