you will always have commitments wherever you go...there is not such thing as a totally care free life...you can minimize your commitments though, and try to fit in some other activities that you like doing more...Originally posted by starblue:nah... i dun feel empty.. i'm just... well... there are so many things a 20 year old young gal like myself can do out there... but i'm tied down (probably by myself) by commitments and such... and i dun even get appreciated for my efforts.. sometimes i wonder if i'm just bringing it upon myself.. sometiems i wonder if i can just throw all this commitment Shit aside, elt them die. and i can go lead the care free life that i want to...

Erm...Originally posted by dragg:then i wish you more pain so that you can appreciate happiness.
you need to think for yourself sometimes, cannot just think about others all the time...it is good to think for others but to put them above yourself all the time, soon you will be totally drained out. Set aside some time for yourself to just relax and do things that you like...it is good to think about others, but not at the expense of your own happiness...Originally posted by starblue:sometimes i can't help but feel i'm just tying myself down. nobody's asking me to do this, i'm just making myself.. lolz.. kinda sad feeling, know wad i mean?? i just feel like not caring anymore about them and go lead my life. but i know i will never do that.. lolz.. virgo, through and through... -_-"
Be grateful for everything U haf...and dun lament over the tins U dun haf...U will be happier...Originally posted by Gackt247:At every stage of ur life.. there is an aim.. a goal..
When u were born.. ur 1st aim was to learn to walk.. the next phase was to tok.. etc..
Pri sch.. to get good grades to go good sec sch.
The next phase: Sec sch.. good grades again to go JC or poly..
Etc etc..
So.. life seems to be in terms of phases.. To get thru one phase to get to another.
However, if u sit down n have a look of ur life. One entire stretch. How many of us can boast tt we have led a meaningful life?
I've tot thru this many time n up till to day, my life still seems aimless. Juz leading day by day.. or as my above analogy, phase by phase.
My life thus far, is pretty sad.. if not pathetic.

hmm...i agree partly and also disagree partly. Whether you can lead a meaningful life or not, it depends on what you choose to do with your life. If you choose to spend every waking hour just sleeping, eating and going to work, of course you will feel like your life is meaningless cos it has become sort like a routine. But if you choose to set aside some time to pursue your own interest, then maybe your life will change for the betterOriginally posted by dragg:not many people can lead a meaningful life. at least not most asians, especially not most singaporeans.
we need to work to sustain livelihood. most of us do things we hardly enjoy for most, if not all of our lives.
cant be helped!!
