cuts herself over this guy in school. she doesn't know that i know about it. it was her friend who told me. she said that the guy doesn't like her to talk to other guys and so she had to swear to him she will never talk to guys. but one day he saw her talk to a guy and got very upset about the broken promise. so wanted a breakup.
the girl got really upset and went to cut herself.
how can i help?? i cannot let her know i know about her situation, cos her friend say if she knew, she'd probably do something more drastic...
sigh... kids nowadays are so screwed up... -
Refer her to a counsellor. Serious, you're not trained to handle this type of situation.

Your student must be very depressed over the break-up. That's why she cut. Maybe u ask her what's wrong and tell her u can help her but don't tell her parents hor she'll hate u forever. Tell her friends to look out for her also.

You go to her like a friend or something lah not like a teacher. promise her u won't tell her parents and won't push her to see a counsellor if she doesn't want.
