did he learn the topic before?but my guess would be that he came from china.. their maths standard is darn high..Originally posted by renorenal:During my A Levels year, there is this Further Mathematics which is an option paper my friends take, and what I cant stand is that this guy cracks jokes at the back while the lecturer is teaching in every single session. He pays no attention to the lecturer and would at times sleep...
We know he is born a mathematician, but I guess he did not took RESPECT from his mom's womb when he was born... For those who are curious, he got distinction, as unsurprisingly as all of us, for all 3 papers of Further Mathematics... wat a jerk...
Come SG la..Originally posted by renorenal:Now the one I am working in are all Malay nurses larr =) I am waiting for Chinese ones... but there won't be any in their government hospitals... they got plenty in private hospitals, but you have to be a consultant in order to be able to transfer out from govt hospital, and to be a consultant from where I am now, I see a 15 years gap...
No he didn't take any before... he is a Malaysian... during the secondary school time, he got 100 all the time in all maths papers and would walk up to the teacher and say no standard lar 'cher, lousy paper...Originally posted by stellazio:did he learn the topic before?but my guess would be that he came from china.. their maths standard is darn high..

Then one day the teacher decided to play a prank on him by setting the questions tougher plus filled with many tricks... jeopardizing the rest of the class of course (97% failures in the class) and he turned out how much? 100 again... the teacher had to pull hair...
Thanks to him that we all cmi...
He's doing actuarial science in NUS... and yes, if I have the opportunity, I wish I was in Singapore... but now there is a medical policy preventing us Malaysian doctors to touch Singaporean patients... sigh...Originally posted by stellazio:darn did he proceed to study mathematics in uni??quite obvious huh...born genius..cannot compare..

Overheard from an O/G specialist, concerning those medical ranks who are able to transfer in and out of country to Spore, UK, US, Canada and others lor, they are only allowed to give comments or seminars / lectures / discussions / medical forums on latest issues in Spore... But not allowed to work in Spore unless you graduate from there...Originally posted by stellazio:whats that policy all about, care to enlighten us??

algorithm design is elementary? You must be kidding! This is the class that caused half of us to get 44/100 in the recent exam...Originally posted by kaobeikaobu:to me, algorithm design is elementary compared to stats...
open book exams are generally harder...you won't even have time to flip thru...
for one maths paper i skipped all the stats qns which takes up almost like 50% of the paper...heng, less than 50% else sure fail...
a simple stats qn can easily make me looked retard...i can just look blankly at the qn...Originally posted by rainee:algorithm design is elementary? You must be kidding! This is the class that caused half of us to get 44/100 in the recent exam...
On the other hand, I love Stats

Btw, since u said algorithm design is easy, maybe you can help me with the Dynamic Programming concept
