First off, we have to justify and pin-point the scope of this forum, is the main purpose of this forum to achieve the status of being with the cream, or it can just have ratings at a moderate level. I will not deny the fact that having a HEAVILY declining rating is not very favorable, but i will also not push the fact that having activity ratings at the TOP of absolute significance, as i believe theOriginally posted by renorenal:Question

utmost importance of the forum is to provide as much as the moderators can do for the people that are actually interested in coming to this forum.
However, if there is a serious decline in the activity to the point that the moderators feel there is a need to revive the forum and review our ideology, i myself, as a moderator, will address the issue by executing the plans that we have come up with when reviewing the ideology behind the forum.
Basically, i believe that the reason why people leave certain forums are because of how the forum is being run, which is why the moderators are the core to the welfare of forums. Notice that, as Starblue is famous and likeable, many people come here in addition to her well management of the forums. If i were going to create coffeeortea's heaven, i'll probably be the only one posting there, other than people like that fifty cent troll.. or some bout au revoir.. loganathan, or someone posting random stuff basically just to spam.
Another reason to why there is a decline in forum activity is because of the Events and topics that are being posted. What i mean by events are stickies like, "today in history" or something similar that is interesting and either on a daily basis, or at least active enough to keep people coming back for more. As for topics, you should know =). I still feel the need to stress the importance of the moderator, as they are the ones who will lock threads that are not constructive, spam, or posing a threat/offensive/biased/(insert something here) to the people who visit the forum.
I definitely will stay, as i have never believed in running away. the only way i feel that we should abandon this forum is if we want to shut it down. Sounds stupid? Therefore, in any situation i believe that as long as there is a will, there is a way. Hope shall prevail. -

find it kinda fun. Much as i would like to be one now i cant be a good mod even if i want to though, i dont really have the time and dedication. chances are, i will be sifting through 50 newest topics, and go to topics that catch my eye within that 15 mins i am in Sgforums. i will however, show interest if there is still space for a Mod when i have the time and dedication to do so ^^ -

I am a man little words. Actions i my prefered choice. Sometimes, different kind of people require different kind of handling. Its Like Human Resourse management. U deal things according to situations. I do no more no less. Its like hunting.. u can use sling shots n a pea shooters to handle the sitation... but if u have an elephant , those just aint gonna work. Ur limited choice of response is not enough . ANd the merit of other posibillities has to be taken to account. A true moderator will even moderate his fellow moderators. i regret to say that i have been inconsistent in my posting at this forum but if i am made a moderator, i will treat this place as my very own forum. i will definitely be committed to performing my duties as moderator. that is not to say that i will not continue to post if i am not made a moderator, but truth is i will be here more often if i am the mod, that i cannot deny.
i am not here to flame people who misbehave in the forum. if i were a moderator, i will quietly edit and delete unpleasant topics and posts and send gentle reminders to the offenders (to ask them to stop their nonsense) and to fellow moderators (to aware them of the ongoings). i prefer a behind-the-scene sort of management. starblue and rainee jie can do the speaking and i will just help them ensure that this forum is free from spam.
i do not believe we are being played around with. i see this forum has a lot of activity. and surely, more and more people will be coming in (especially when starblue is so popular). it will be difficult to control the forum and that is why i believe starblue is doing all this to see who are able to help her maintain law and order. if any elects think that they are being toyed with, i suggest they withdraw instantly. -

if we (as the moderators) do a good job in maintaining the good order of the forum, i do not see why people will stop coming. as for me, i will gladly post interesting topics for the edification of users of Starblue's Heaven, and recommend it to other forumers. there is no question of running away or hiding (why for?). if i am moderator, i will treat this place as my own, like i already have explained. would i run away if my forum rating is declining?Originally posted by renorenal:Question

i will join the discussion like any other forumer. there is no "team" in a discussion is there? i am allowed to express my own views on the topic and not just side with my moderator team just because i am a moderator right? being a moderator only gives you more responsibility to ensure smooth running of the forum. it does not mean i have to agree with my moderators all the time.Originally posted by beastieboy:tis question is for the elects:

Your ideals are same as mine. But unlike mine ..we fight each other in the culling to weed out the weak n the strong to survive..while u just huddle in your corner n watch the battle royale. U may think its smart to avoid such.. but such an act has inevidently put urself in the bottom of the food chain. Since this forum primarily attracts flies around starblue, perhaps you should consider getting a gal as moderator instead. If you get a guy, the bloke may start acting as the frog that swallows up all his competitors....
