Handicapped Toilet only reserved for handicapped people?

i believe tis broils down to wad ppl define the handicapped toilet is for...
some tink of it as an convenience to help the handicapped answer the call of mother nature even so as your normal cubicle is quite cramped and veri restrictive hence they might tink tat is okie to use it when there's no handicapped around...
others tink of it as a necessity or it could out of consideration for the handicapped, hence they don really use the handicapped toilet and frown upon anyone not handicapped using..
neither tinking is really wrong...it all depends on the time...

I suggest the sign on the handicapped toilet should be amended to read 'male/female/' and 'Priority for disabled persons'. All should give way to disabled persons but if it is not in use, anyone can make use of it.

i make it a point not to use anything reserved for the handicap.
lets say a handicap comes while you are shItting inside how?
isnt it the same as someone parking his car at a lot reserved for the handicapped?
arguments will arise once everyone starts using it. -
but if nobody uses, I dun see any wrong with using it? Esp when there is no handicapped ppl around at that moment?

if everybody thinks that way a lot of people will be using it.
if and when a handicap turns up there will be arguments.
anyway the handicaps are concerned about people dirtying the toilets too.
you know how 'normal' people behaves. -

I agree with rainee....that's why I think it should be open to all sexes with priority for disabled persons.

I dun really agree with what she said. And the way she expressed her view, will naturally pissed off some people. how are you gonna do that for toilets? leave the door wide open?
though both situations may seem similar at 1st glance, there are many factors as to why usage of handicapped toilet is not encouraged
rather than the 'also-nobody-to-use-what' problem, its more of the inconvenience caused. though chances are slim, it can still occur and cause problems for the handicapped -
